Our Latin character has possibly made us the most adventurous of all. The term used to describe our spark was fire water or in Spanish aguardiente. Many different expressions run through the rum family, varying from light, dark, young and aged. What we have in common is our sugar cane either in the form of molasses or its juice, which Alexander the Great described as honey without the bees.
